Varsha
Varsha is a 21 year old American pop/indie, R&B, and Indian fusion singer-songwriter who believes in using songwriting as a cathartic release by which to express herself, and to spread awareness about important issues. Specifically, Varsha aims to use her music as a medium to shed light and appreciation on South Asian art and culture, and build a community of globally-conscious and open-minded people. Her works draw from the R&B influences like Summer Walker, to the indie pop sounds of Arlo Parks, to Indian music mastermind A.R. Rahman.
Varsha completed the Trinity Rock & Pop vocal program with distinction, and was chosen to sing in the Singapore Christmas Light Up, a major event attended by the President of Singapore. In 2017, Varsha performed in the Winner’s Showcase 2017 at the Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall as part of the WeSingPop International singing competition.
She has just graduated from Berklee College of Music, with a major in Songwriting and a minor in Music Business. She has released several songs and collections, and is currently located in Nashville, working at MOXE studio and developing her second album.
